According to Valeriy Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Commercial Operations Department at UZ, during the Digital Logistics Forum 2023 held in Kyiv on May 26, the implementation of this digital transformation program is estimated to bring an economic benefit of 500 million UAH per year.

Digital transformation of railway

“This program will cost us approximately 150 million UAH. It is designed for a duration of 3 years, but according to our calculations, it will yield an effect of about 500 million UAH,” emphasized Valeriy Tkachov.

He added that if the program is realized, “cargo senders will receive a modern, digitized service.” Bureaucratic procedures will be simplified, making rail transport more attractive.

Thus, the main economic effect is expected to be achieved through attracting additional volumes of cargo.
