“Metinvest” plans to invest in the development of a logistics center in Katowice, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

This was announced by the CEO of “Metinvest,” Yuriy Ryzhenkov, in an interview with the Polish publication Business Insider.

“We plan to invest in Poland, but not in metallurgical plants. We already have a logistics center in Katowice for the transportation of metal products, and we plan to expand its capacity,” he noted.
The CEO also added that the company is considering the possibility of creating a joint venture, establishing a new distribution center, or acquiring an existing facility.
“We continue to supply a significant amount of Ukrainian steel to Poland and plan to continue doing so. Currently, we don’t have specific plans for locating production facilities in Poland, but, of course, we are monitoring the market and exploring all possibilities,” added the CEO of “Metinvest.”
Ryzhenkov emphasized that there are already several major players in the metallurgical industry operating in Poland who can serve the saturated Polish market. However, he believes that there are opportunities for cooperation and contributing to the recovery of Ukraine by combining metallurgical enterprises in both countries.
Ukraine, Poland, and neighboring countries have a sufficient number of plants to support this market, creating new opportunities, particularly in the production of steel structures.
