The transport company of the Czech city of Brno has exercised an option for the delivery of 15 three-section bidirectional trams, the Skoda ForCity Smart 45T, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The cost of each tram amounts to 75 million Czech crowns (€3 million).

The transport provider had previously received a subsidy of 630 million Czech crowns (€26.7 million) for the purchase.

The rolling stock is expected to be delivered in 2025.

As part of the contract signed in February 2021 for the delivery of up to 40 trams, the transport company has the option to order an additional 20 trams.
