Delivery of 35 X’Trapolis Cityduplex electric trains from Alstom

SNCF has exercised another option worth €650 million, involving the delivery of 35 X’Trapolis Cityduplex electric trains from Alstom, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The six-car trains with variable floor heights will be destined for Line E in the Paris suburbs.
A framework contract worth €3.7 billion for the delivery of up to 255 such trains was signed in January 2017.
The first X’Trapolis Cityduplex was launched in November and currently, 14 of these trains are already in operation.
