Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has announced an open tender for the procurement of equipment and software to implement the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) signaling, blocking, and train movement centralization system, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The estimated contract value is 272.3 million Indian Rupees ($3.25 million), with a completion period of 18 months.

The supplied microprocessor-based centralization and automatic train control systems include entry-exit blocks, an operating system, and necessary drivers. They must hold SIL 4 certification and undergo ISA accreditation.

The tender winner is obligated to supply, integrate CBTC systems, and conduct equipment testing in the Delhi Metro.

Applications are accepted starting from December 20, 2023.

Participating firms must provide documentation on successfully completed projects for passenger metros, with equipment operation for at least one year.
