On Thursday, November 16, at least 270 freight trains were canceled. Nikutta emphasized that strikes not only affect passenger transport but also disrupt cargo delivery by rail.

Negotiations between DB and unions are ongoing. However, there are concerns within the company about the escalation of protests during the holiday season in December, which could lead to a nationwide shutdown and potentially extend into 2024.
