Czech Vectron locomotives will operate trains for PKP Intercity

On May 26 of this year, a Czech Vectron locomotive test-drove the Silesia train
Soon, Vectron locomotives from Czech Railways (CD) will operate trains for the Polish national carrier according to the schedule, as reported by the Railway Supply portal, citing kurier-kolejowy.
The Czech locomotives will be used based on an agreement on international cooperation between railway carriers.
On May 30 of this year, another meeting took place between representatives of the railway companies České dráhy and PKP Intercity, discussing measures that the parties will take in the framework of cooperation regarding rolling stock, equipment, and planned new connections.
The test run of the Vectron locomotive (series 193, type X4Ea), which operated a couple of Silesia trains (Ostrava – Warsaw – Ostrava route) on May 26, was successful.
On the same day, the train drivers underwent training on operating this type of vehicle.
