CRRC plans to open a railcar production facility in Kazakhstan

The Chinese corporation is negotiating the construction of a railcar plant with a high level of production localization in Kazakhstan, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Additionally, CRRC plans to establish service centers for Chinese-made locomotives in Kazakhstan, with mainline centers in Semei and Aktogay, and shunting centers in Mangistau, Atyrau, and Zhanaarke.
Earlier, LogiStan reported that Kazakhstan Railways and CRRC had signed a framework agreement for the supply of 200 locomotives from China to Kazakhstan for $1.3 billion.
