Alstom officially introduced the Coradia Stream Train to Romania, marking a major milestone for the country’s railways. It is the first electric train introduced in the country in 30 years. This was reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Two contracts worth €490 million include the delivery of 37 Coradia Stream trains and long-term maintenance. The first three trains have already been manufactured in Poland, while the remaining ones will be produced in Germany.

The Coradia Stream Train can accommodate 351 passengers, offering comfortable conditions for regional travel. Its low-floor design makes boarding and exiting easier, especially for passengers with mobility challenges.
