The Mostyska container terminal is scheduled to open in April, when the first test run will be organized. This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply.

Container terminal in Mostisk

The terminal is a partnership project between N’Unit and Lemtrans. According to investors, this is the first private full-scale terminal on the border of Poland and Ukraine.

One of the main advantages of the terminal is that it combines 1520 and 1435 gauges, due to which it can efficiently handle goods moving between east and west.

At the initial stage, the focus of the terminal will be the handling of trains. In general, at the first stage, a capacity of 100 thousand TEU per year is expected.

Investors also hope to attract cargo flows from Lithuania after the transit through Belarus was limited.

In the second phase, the terminal will expand with warehousing services, and in the third phase, it will also provide services such as reloading, packaging, and more.

Let us recall that earlier the Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe opened land container terminals in Novomoskovsk (Dnipropetrovsk region) and Zaporozhye in order to improve logistics operations.
