Orion Infrastructure Capital (OIC) contributed the latest funding round, providing a combination of equity and debt financing. CargoBeamer previously secured €50 million from investors and €90 million from German and Swiss institutions, bringing its 12-month total to €205 million.

CargoBeamer’s Expansion Timeline and Future Prospects

CargoBeamer plans to begin construction on the new terminals in 2025, with completion expected by 2026. Once operational, these facilities will increase the company’s European network to three, strengthening its position in intermodal freight transport.

Currently, CargoBeamer operates a terminal in Calais, France, which serves as a crucial hub for shifting freight from road to rail. The upcoming sites in Kaldenkirchen and Domodossola will further enhance logistics efficiency, reducing carbon emissions across major transport corridors.
