Both non-craneable and craneable semi-trailers, containers, tank trailer, and ADR units can be carried. This versatility caters to multiple logic needs as well as reducing emissions and expenses along the distance-based routes.

CargoBeamer allocates most train capacity to Routier European Transport, which also provides traction. Remaining slots are open to other market participants, improving route accessibility and competition in the freight sector.

CargoBeamer Encourages European Sustainable Rail Logistics

Venlo–Oradea connection reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 88% over road transport, reducing approximately 1,800 kilograms of CO₂ per 1,500-kilometer trip. Those outcomes reflect the operator’s focus on sustainable intermodal transport.

Boris Timm, CargoBeamer chief operating officer, described the connection as “a significant step toward Connecting Western and Eastern Europe with low-emission freight.” The firm is continuously growing the European network between the UK, Italy, France, and Germany.

This innovation places CargoBeamer at the forefront of the decarbonization of logistics because it provides a scalable format for the transportation of goods from road to rail. Its growth model serves the climate goals of the EU as well as the digitization of the logistics sector.
