According to the World Bank report, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor is expected to handle 11.8 million tons of cargo by 2030, a nearly threefold increase from 2021, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

This includes significant trade growth for countries along the Middle Corridor:

– Kazakhstan: 6.2 million tons (+186%)

– Georgia: 0.9 million tons (+52%)

– Azerbaijan: 0.7 million tons (+86%)

USAID will contribute to the integration of the Ukrainian railway

Transit volumes on specific routes are also notable:

– China to Europe: 2.7 million tons (+5268%)

– Uzbekistan to Europe: 1.3 million tons (+71%)

Despite the anticipated efficiency, analysts at the World Bank project that, even by 2030, less than 40% of the corridor’s volumes will contribute to transcontinental trade.
