Captrain Italia is acquiring locomotives from Railpool on a long-term leaseback basis.

This will allow Captrain Italia to increase its TRAXX fleet to 32 units.

Under the agreement, the second batch of eight locomotives will be received in the second half of 2024.

Railpool commits to providing full technical maintenance for the fleet.

For Railpool, this reaffirms their strengthening position in the Italian market, made possible by a large fleet of over 600 TRAXX DC3 locomotives with Last Mile functionality.
