This seasonal train connects Boston’s South Station and Hyannis, making six intermediate stops. It runs on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays throughout the summer.
Passengers enjoy first-class seating, a café car, and a special car for bikes, making travel easy and enjoyable for vacationers and cyclists.
According to CCRTA Acting Administrator Kathleen Jensen, the train began as a pilot but has grown into a reliable seasonal transit service.
Each service day includes one round trip. Standard round-trip tickets cost $40, while June riders can benefit from a $10 promotional fare.
Schedules and booking details are available through official MBTA and CCRTA platforms.
CapeFlyer offers comfort and convenience for summer travel
MBTA General Manager Phillip Eng said the CapeFlyer supports more than commuting—it connects residents and visitors to summer fun and family traditions.
The launch follows similar seasonal services across the region, including the Long Island Rail Road’s Hamptons line, reinforcing the trend of rail-supported leisure travel.
CapeFlyer partnership continues to deliver strong results
Now in its 13th season, the collaboration among MBTA, Keolis, CCRTA, and MassDOT shows the strength of public-private cooperation in transit.
The train has become a reliable and affordable way for travelers to reach Cape Cod without the stress of traffic or parking.
This summer, the CapeFlyer aims to once again serve thousands seeking a convenient and scenic route to the Cape.
