Following a tender, the Madrid Metro has signed a contract with CAF worth €450 million for the supply of 40 six-car metro trains, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The rolling stock with inter-car connections will be intended for lines 6 and 8.

The contract also includes an option for an additional 40 trains.

The Madrid Metro plans to exercise this option in the coming months.
