Bratislava to Purchase 40 New Trams: Two Tenders Worth €150 Million

Bratislava Announces New Tram Procurement, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The tram operator of Bratislava, DPB, has announced two tenders for framework agreements to supply 40 new low-floor trams, each 32.5 meters long.

All new vehicles must meet Skoda standards.
The first tender, worth €71.4 million, includes the supply of 20 low-floor trams, each capable of accommodating up to 240 passengers.
The second tender involves the procurement of another 20 trams, but in a dual-cabin variant for convenient shuttle operations. Its cost is €79 million.
In the fall of 2023, Skoda began testing new five-section model 29T (ForCity Plus) trams in Bratislava.
These trams were supplied under a €72 million contract with DPB.
