Unmanned Railway Trains

Unmanned rail trains will be tested on two lines in the USA, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
Two small railways in the state of Georgia, owned by Genesee & Wyoming, have reached an agreement with the US Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to carry out a pilot project aimed at testing unmanned rail trains with traction batteries developed by Parallel Systems.

Georgia Central Railway (GC) and Heart of Georgia Railway (HOG) hope that the enhanced technologies of Parallel Systems will help them create a new business model for transporting containers in conjunction with the Savannah port on the eastern coast of the USA.
