At the same time, officials in S-Bahn emphasized that gear from Windhoff proved its reliability in the market. Therefore, the transaction is regarded as part of the plans aimed at the uninterrupted operation of the city railway in Berlin.

Windhoff expertise and certified technology

Previously, Germany had also certified the MPV VentuS Type GAF manufactured by Windhoff. This is the validation of the supplier’s competency and readiness in completing long-term urban rail system projects.

Under this marque, machines are being operated in certain countries in Europe. However, the largest recent customer in this is Berlin, emphasizing the extent and importance of this deal.

Why does Berlin require new track machines?

They are critical in keeping the S-Bahn infrastructure in place, with track maintenance and diagnostics. The adoption of the latest technologies, like what is available in the MPV VentuS railcar, lifts efficiency while cutting downtime.

What advantages do Windhoff track machines offer?

The Windhoff machines are highly adaptable and can take up cleaning, refurbishment, and inspection tasks. The MPV VentuS Type GAF experience proves that they offer reliability while cutting costs of operations.

What are the future prospects in cooperation with Windhoff?

The deal will see the company modernize the fleet of special equipment in Berlin and bring in solutions tried in other markets in Europe. Thus, safety and the quality of infrastructure maintenance will improve.
