Belarusians think back to such a phenomenon as a “rail war”
07.05.2022
With the beginning of the war in Ukraine, for the first time since the Second World War, Belarusians think back to such a phenomenon as a “rail war”.
This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to @belzhd_live.
Activists are destroying signaling control cabinets, “short-circuiting” track circuits, and disabling the railway electronic systems in order to “slow down the transfer of occupying troops and give Ukrainians more time to repel the attack.”
The Belarusian authorities took the threat seriously – it has been known that 60 Belarusians weredetained.
Criminal cases are opened against them under the article on “acts of terrorism”.
Among the detainees is 32-year-old Alesya Bunevich, who is already charged with helping the “rail partisans” escape and avoid punishment.
The girl lived in Vilnius and came to Belarus on the anniversary of her mother’s death.
