Belarusian Railways plans to repair about 300 kilometers of track and 20 bridges in 2022

During 2021, 241.9 km of track were repaired on the Belarusian Railways. In addition, 28 railway bridges were overhauled.

This was reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to the Belarusian Railways.

According to the results of last year, more than 180 km of seamless track was also laid, which has a number of advantages. It not only reduces the wear of rails and rolling stock, but also reduces the noise impact of rail transport, and also increases the smoothness of the course, which has a positive effect on passenger comfort.

In 2021, more than 150 sets of switches have been replaced to strengthen the upper structure of the track and increase the speed of trains.

Execution of all types of works on repair and maintenance of the railway line allowed in 2021 to increase the allowable speeds of passenger trains by 200 km of track.

Today, more than 400 units of special railway rolling stock are in operation to ensure the safety of trains and the maintenance of the railway track on the Belarusian Railways.

In 2022, it is planned to repair 296.7 km of track, replace 200 sets of switches with new ones on reinforced concrete beams, and overhaul 20 railway bridges.

Planned work on the repair of the track, which is carried out on the Belarusian Railways, is aimed at ensuring and maintaining a high level of safety of rail transport, as well as passenger comfort.
