West Midlands Railway announced that its new Aventra class train fleet carried over 12 million passengers along the Birmingham Cross-City Line within its initial year of operation and boosted satisfaction and reliability in the region.

Cross-City Line it joins Bromsgrove and Redditch to Lichfield through Birmingham New Street. It comprises of new-age University station that handled over three million passengers in the last year.

Jonny Wiseman, Customer Experience Director of West Midlands Railway, explained that it is the busiest commuter corridor outside London. They are new three-carriage units that operate in pairs, providing room to more than 1,000 passengers and so did massively increase capacity.

Beyond Birmingham is supported by Aventra programme to promote London Northwestern Railway, as 36 Class 730/2 trains enhance capacity within Euston routes by 20%. These additions illustrate how investment in rolling stock directly boosts efficiency as well as reinforces passenger trust in long-term regional mobility.
