They began and finished their trek in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The scenic route pushed participants physically but inspired strong public support.
Fundraiser Supports Railway Children Across the UK
Approximately 70 walkers took part in the event, collectively generating more than £2,000 for Railway Children, with online donations still open. This initiative continues to gain traction with community members and colleagues alike.
The charity provides essential support for vulnerable youth facing homelessness and difficult circumstances. Every donation helps expand its life-changing programs across the country.
Paul Mills explained that last year’s National Three Peaks by Rail challenge motivated him to participate again. He emphasized how rewarding these physical challenges can be when supporting a cause with real impact.
Local Support Boosts Railway Children Charity Drive
To increase fundraising, a local pub hosted a special event supporting the initiative. The night brought in more contributions and showcased strong community involvement in the team’s effort.
The Avanti West Coast team’s dedication reflects growing awareness of corporate social responsibility. And their success shows how shared commitment can deliver real results beyond the railway network.
This campaign not only fostered team spirit but also helped spread awareness of the charity’s important mission. Through determination and purpose, the group made a meaningful difference.
