During his Hyderabad visit, Ashwini Vaishnaw outlined a strategy to strengthen rail connectivity. He confirmed Secunderabad station is undergoing significant redevelopment to create a modern and efficient passenger experience.

The Minister explained a hub-based model will connect multiple city stations for smooth North, South, East, and West routes. This move ensures faster travel and better freight handling across the region.

Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the Regional Ring Road as a critical project. He urged the state to allocate a 30-meter corridor for rail integration, boosting manufacturing, logistics, and port connectivity for seamless trade.

He also praised IIT Hyderabad for its semiconductor breakthroughs. Eight student teams successfully designed and fabricated chips at facilities in Mohali and abroad, marking a milestone for India’s tech progress.

This achievement aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India a global leader in semiconductors, AI, quantum technology, and electronics. Vaishnaw encouraged IIT Hyderabad to deepen research in these critical fields.

With expanded rail capacity, integrated infrastructure, and innovation in technology, Secunderabad is poised to become a vital hub supporting India’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
