Lease of locomotives from the Belgian railway operator

The Belgian infrastructure manager Infrabel has signed a renewable three-year agreement worth €42.5 million, allowing it to lease up to 20 locomotives from Lineas in the shortest possible time, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Infrabel stated that it requires many locomotives for operations, and the leasing will supplement its own fleet of 81 locomotives to increase capacity buffer.
The strategic contract with Lineas enables Infrabel to better fulfill its core mission.
Over the next six years, Infrabel can lease up to 20 locomotives from the Belgian railway operator Lineas.
The company is also responsible for their maintenance.
The locomotives will be used nationwide as shunting trains.
