Yesterday, June 13, an explosion occurred on a railway track in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol, resulting in a freight train carrying ore derailing, according to the railway journal Railway Supply, citing Rail.insider.

Local residents heard the sound of the explosion in the northern part of the city.

The Russian occupying authorities have not yet provided any comments on this incident. However, the presence of Russian armed forces has been observed in the area near the railway tracks on the northern outskirts of Melitopol.

Preliminary information suggests that the explosion damaged a section of the railway track while a train carrying stolen iron ore was in motion from Dniprorudne.

Five cars derailed and overturned. Train traffic was immediately blocked, and a 50-meter section of the track was destroyed.

Russian occupiers have surrounded the area and begun conducting searches to identify possible saboteurs. According to reports, they have also started deploying protective platforms in front of locomotives to prevent damage.

It is worth noting that during the night of June 12, an explosion occurred on a locomotive in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol.
