In Boston, construction teams will build a two-track maintenance and inspection facility and convert an existing structure into a dedicated cleaning hub. The city will benefit from enhanced service on regional and long-distance routes.

New York’s Sunnyside Yard is undergoing a significant transformation. Contractors will add a new inspection building, six service tracks, and modernized staff and storage spaces, creating more efficient operations and reducing turnaround times.

Washington’s Ivy City Yard is also being upgraded. New cleaning tracks, modernized maintenance facilities, and infrastructure improvements will help Amtrak maintain a reliable schedule across its extensive route network.
