Amtrak Airo trainset accepted before Seattle tests

Amtrak has formally accepted the first Amtrak Airo trainset. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

First Airo trainset heads west
The unit left the Bear Maintenance Facility earlier this week, according to Amtrak. It is now due to travel west across the country to Seattle. Once it arrives in Washington, final testing will begin. The trainset will carry its first customers after final testing.

Separately, the Airo trains are designed and manufactured by Siemens Mobility.
