This was announced by the European Commission representative for agriculture and trade, Miriam García Ferrer.
According to the official, thanks to the “Paths of Solidarity,” logistics costs have been reduced by 50%.
The EU also aims to achieve a target of 4 million tonnes within the project by the end of the year.
“In parallel, of course, we need to strengthen other corridors and have alternative routes. Just yesterday, during a meeting of the Joint Coordination Platform, we not only invited the Baltic countries and Croatia to discuss alternative routes but also included Italy and Greece as potentially new routes for exporting Ukrainian grain,” said the European Commission representative.
As previously reported, more than 40 million tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products have been transported through the “Paths of Solidarity.”
At the same time, the EU has intensified the work of the group coordinating the “Paths of Solidarity.”
