Alstom’s partner in this project is Shanghai Electric Group. The new HATEE plant will specialize in the development, production, and maintenance of traction systems for subways. The trial production launch is scheduled for October this year.

The company forecasts that achieving full production capacity, including up to 1,500 traction systems per year, will take 8 to 10 years.

The plant’s products are expected to be directed both to the domestic Chinese market and for export.

In Turkey, Alstom has acquired the Duray Ulasim Sistemleri plant from Durmazlar.

Located in Bursa, the plant specializes in the production of bogies and body frames for rolling stock.

Currently, the plant employs over 200 people. Alstom plans to integrate this facility into its global supply chain, which will enhance their production capabilities.
