This new facility will oplete existing Alstom plant in Toruń, which currently services Traxx locomotives. By so doing, it will be easier and quicker for the company to cater to market demands and to allow easy customer operation.
Over the last two years alone, Polish operators have been delivered 61 Traxx Universal third-generation locomotives. Orders keep piling in and so Alstom is growing coverage of its services. Worldwide, over 2,450 of Alstom locomotives are running and the combined Traxx order book is over 6,000 units strong since 2000.
Alstom and Plant and Service Network Investments
2022–2027 investment program will spend $115M on this, of which roughly $75M will be spent on construction and upgrading of infrastructure. Money will be doled out to plants located in Chorzów, Wrocław, and Nadarzyn.
Alstom adopts an all-in approach covering locomotive supply, maintenance of services, and strategic investment. This reinforces customer reliability as well as enhancing Poland’s Railway industry competitiveness.
Commenters point out that such shippings further strengthen Alstom’s presence in Central Europe and build a long-term development strategy. Additionally, collaboration from DB Cargo Polska helps speed up locomotive maintenance and lower carrier operation costs.
Therefore, Alstom is no longer restricted to locomotive shipments but creates a complete serviced and modernization chain. This guarantees long-term development and validates the presence of the company as a leading European market leader.
