The second facility will manufacture various rolling stock models. Alstom will produce light rail vehicles, monorails, and high-speed trains adapted to Egypt’s growing urban transport needs.

By building locally, Alstom plans to boost Egypt’s position as a regional rail manufacturing hub. This project is expected to create new jobs, promote industrial innovation, and enhance local technical expertise.
The partnership strengthens Alstom’s long-term commitment to the region. It also supports Egypt’s efforts to expand modern and sustainable public transportation infrastructure.
With this move, the French company increases its presence in the Middle East and Africa. It also contributes directly to the country’s industrial growth and mobility strategy.
