At the same time, a significant part of the stand will be devoted to passenger experience and inclusive mobility, with solutions intended to make everyday journeys more accessible and comfortable for a wide range of users.
Urban mobility, passenger experience and metro signalling projects
A full-scale metro mock-up will serve as one of the main focal points for visitors, giving a tangible view of how automated, smart and sustainable urban mobility can look in practice. Some of the solutions presented there are already being introduced in pioneering Spanish projects, including the automation of Madrid Metro Line 6 and signalling modernisation for the Seville and Bilbao metro systems. Through these concrete references, Alstom aims to demonstrate how its technology helps operators make services safer, more efficient and more reliable for passengers.
Programme on cybersecurity and urban signalling systems
Beyond the exhibition area, Alstom experts will contribute to the conference programme, reinforcing the company’s focus on sustainable, safe and efficient mobility. On 26 November, from 12:10 to 12:30 in the Keynote Theatre & Track 1, Joan Balbastre, Cybersecurity Project Manager at Alstom Spain, will deliver a session titled “Anatomy of a railway cyberattack”, looking at cybersecurity in railway operations. The following day, 27 November, from 15:50 to 16:10 on Track 2, César Andrés Olea, Services Director for Alstom Spain’s Signalling Unit, will present “Metro Seville Line 1, Upgrading the signalling system as a renewal alternative”, focusing on urban signalling systems as an upgrade path.
Rail Live 2025 Madrid railway event and Alstom Spain’s footprint
Visitors who want to learn more about these solutions will find Alstom at Stand D114 in Hall 10, the designated Meeting Point at the fair. There, the company will also highlight its long-standing industrial and technological footprint in Spain, described in more detail on the Alstom in Spain corporate page. Alstom Spain employs more than 3,000 people across four industrial sites, four technology centres and over twenty maintenance depots. Its facilities include an industrial site in Barcelona that manufactures all types of rolling stock, a propulsion systems factory in Bizkaia, and several technology innovation centres in Madrid dedicated to railway safety, signalling, maintenance and digital mobility.
Rail Live! 2025 itself is presented as a major forum for innovation, digitalisation, talent development and sustainability in the rail sector, a role also underlined in the Railway Supply feature “Rail Live 2025: Your Gateway to Rail Innovation and Networking”. With more than 300 exhibitors and over 200 speakers expected, the three-day Rail Live 2025 Madrid railway event will offer a platform to discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the railway industry, with Alstom Spain taking a visible role in debates on automation, cybersecurity and the future of urban mobility.
