Michael Keroullé, Alstom Americas President, emphasized that reconciliation is treated by the company as humility and an openness. He further stated that respectful cooperation and dialogue with Aboriginal societies are important steps to long-term trust.

The firm also recognized that its activities occur on Indigenous lands. Due to this fact, it committed to upholding cultural and spiritual connections, and that Indigenous Peoples receive a just participated role in development initiatives.

Alstom Canada and corporate social responsibility obligations

The firm explained that its reconciliation strategy is based on standards outlined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. To promote co-development, Alstom seeks to promote a respectful access to traditional knowledge and responsible natural resources management.
