Air Canada Partnership Enhances German Connectivity
This expanded partnership with Lufthansa Express Rail helps Air Canada strengthen its position in Europe by offering more destination choices beyond airports. It supports a smooth, integrated travel experience.
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President at Air Canada, stated that the partnership ensures better service quality and peace of mind. Check-in, ticketing, and rebooking are now simplified through a single system.
Passengers can book their entire journey—air and rail—directly at aircanada.com or through travel agents. Frankfurt remains a major hub, with up to five Air Canada flights daily in 2025.
Air Canada Strengthens Global Intermodal Network
Air Canada launched intermodal bookings in 2023, including rail partners in France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. In Asia, the airline also partnered with KORAIL in South Korea.
The carrier collaborates with booking platforms like AccesRail and WorldTicket, helping travelers create efficient itineraries that combine planes with high-speed trains or coaches across eight countries.
These efforts underline Air Canada’s strategic push for sustainable and convenient travel options in both Europe and Asia. By expanding intermodal access, the airline meets evolving customer expectations.
