Accelerated railway transportation of agricultural raw materials in reefer containers
24.11.2023
Tajikistan plans to join the Russian ‘Agroexpress.’ Russian Railways (RZhD) and the Russian Export Center will explore the possibility of Tajikistan participating in the ‘Agroexpress’ project, which involves expedited railway transportation of agricultural products in reefer containers, as reported by LogiStan.
This is outlined in the ‘roadmap’ for cooperation in the transport sector for 2023–2025, signed in Moscow by the Ministers of Transport of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrohim, and Russia, Vitaly Saveliev.
According to the Tajikistan Ministry of Transport, the republic’s participation in the project will reduce the delivery time for Tajik goods from the agro-industrial complex to the CIS countries, China, and Turkey.
