The process of selling DB Schenker has been initiated

The collaboration resulted from a successful tender offer, through which Trafikverket selected Pilz to upgrade the communication infrastructure in the national railway network, replacing outdated analog copper technology with reliable fiber-optic technology.

Pilz became a successful bidder for Safe Relay Messages over Opto (SRO), solidifying its position as an automation expert in the railway industry.

The innovative railway controller, Pilz SafetyNET p, will facilitate communication between signal boxes and control cabinets along railway lines, ensuring the safe transmission of digital input/output (I/O) signals through intercity fiber-optic connections.

Pilz’s solution complies with safety standards, including SIL4 and EN 50126, ensuring the safety of railway operations.

In addition to the gradual transition to digital technologies on the extensive 14,200-kilometer Swedish railway network, Pilz is committed to safety, efficiency, and the future of railway transport.
