A new tramline has been launched in Helsinki

It spans 25 kilometers, connecting the capital of Finland to the city of Espoo, this is reported by the railway transport news portal, Railway Supply.
Remarkably, this line commenced operation nearly a year ahead of the planned schedule.

Running at intervals of 10-12 minutes on this line are 15 five-section trams known as ForCity Smart Artic X54, which were assembled at the Transtech factory, a part of the Skoda Group.
These trams have an average speed of 25 km/h and can accommodate 214 passengers, including spaces for disabled and child strollers.
The project, costing the city €150 million, is still awaiting the introduction of the remaining trams next year.
The launch of this new tramline in Helsinki is a significant development for the city’s infrastructure.
It will enhance the mobility of residents and alleviate transportation challenges.
These modern trams, produced by Skoda Group, are equipped with all the necessary amenities for comfortable passenger transport, including provisions for individuals with limited mobility.
