A Japanese company, JR Central, in partnership with Nippon Sharyo, Toshiba, and Toyota, is developing a hydrogen-powered train, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
Stand tests of two types of power systems are planned for 2023 and 2024, using hydrogen fuel cells and an internal combustion hydrogen engine.
