Amtrak summer sale offers up to 25% off fares
25.06.2026
The Amtrak summer sale lets passengers save up to 25% on regularly priced adult fares for Coach and Acela Business tickets between Boston and Washington, DC.

The limited-time Big City Savings Sale also covers destinations in between. The offer applies to tickets booked by June 24 for travel from July 8 through Aug. 30, 2026. Passengers can review the sample fares provided by Amtrak or use the fare finder to look for additional options.
Amtrak summer sale covers Coach and Acela Business tickets
The offer is focused on summer travel between Boston, Washington, DC, and intermediate destinations. Amtrak says its trains bring passengers into downtown areas, making it easier to reach hotels, transfer to local transportation, or start enjoying warm weather without dealing with traffic, tolls, fuel costs, parking, or weather concerns.
The company also points to the onboard experience as part of the rail travel offer. Coach and Acela Business Class accommodations include wide reclining seats, ample legroom, no middle seats, and picturesque windows for views during the journey.
What changes for passengers?
The sale gives passengers a short booking window for discounted summer travel, but the fare rules are part of the practical context. Amtrak says the discount is up to 25% off the Flex fare amount and applies to Coach and Acela Business travel on Acela and trains operating between Boston, MA and Washington, DC. Changes are not permitted, while cancellations are allowed before departure with a 50% cancellation fee. Availability is limited, the offer cannot be combined with other discounts, and fares, routes and schedules may change without notice.
Amtrak Guest Rewards adds points to summer travel
Travelers can also join Amtrak Guest Rewards at no cost. After enrollment, members can start earning points toward Amtrak reward travel and other redemption options, with points awarded on every dollar spent on Amtrak travel. Additional bonuses are available for Business Class and Acela First Class trips, while reward travel through Amtrak Across America includes popular city pairs from as few as 400 points.
