Kyiv will rename metro stations, informs the railway magazine Railway Supply.

Metro stations renaming

According to the survey, the results of which were published on the metro website, the following stations should be called like this:

▪️Station “Beresteyska” (named after city of Brest, Belarus) Buchanskaya(named after cityof Bucha, which suffered badly from Russian occupation);

▪️Station “Lev Tolstoy Square” (named after Russian writer) Vasily Stus(named after Ukrainian poet who spent 13 years in detention, until his death, in Soviet forced labor camp for political prisoners);

▪️Station “Heroiv Dnipra” Heroes of Ukraine

▪️Station “Minska” (named after city of Minsk, Belarus) Warsawska(named after city of Warsaw, Poland)


▪️ Station “Druzhby Narodiv(named after the friendship between Russian and Ukrainian peoples) “Botanicheskaya” (named after the nearby Hryshko National Botanical Garden)
