Wagons fell into the lake when loading a ferry in Bitlis

When loading onto a ferry in Bitlis, two wagons loaded for shipment from the Tatvan region fell into Lake Van. One wagon remained suspended. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Railly News.
Two wagons of a freight train belonging to TCDD fell into the lake due to icing, according to the Lake Van Ferry Authority. After the wagons fell into the lake, loading operations were stopped. Work has begun on the extraction of rolling stock from the water.
