The Swiss company Stadler Bussnang AG has become a participant in the tender for the purchase of new trams for Dnipro and Kriviy Rig. This is evidenced by the Protocol for the consideration of tender proposals in the Prozorro system, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply

As you know, the Department of Housing and Communal Services and Construction of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration announced a tender for the purchase of 18 new low-floor trams for for Dnipro and Kriviy Rig with an expected cost of UAH 1.2 million.

At first, four companies submitted their proposals for auction, but Stadler’s proposals were rejected by the city authorities.

The Swiss tram manufacturer has applied to the Antimonopoly Committee with a demand to cancel the decision to reject their tender offer and determine the winner.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine recognized the decision of the Regional State Administration Department to exclude the company from the tender as unreasonable. After that, the Swiss manufacturer of rolling stock was admitted to the auction, scheduled for February 10.

Thus, Tatra-Yug, Stadler and Trade House UKVZ-Ukraine will compete for the right to supply new trams.
