After this decision, UAB Vilniaus lokomotyvų remontas depas (VLRD) will be able to transfer the production base from the center of Vilnius (Gelezhinkelio St. 12 and Shvitrigailos St. 39) to the territory of Vaidotai railway station.

In the southern part of Vilnius, the territory will be freed up for the Vilnius Connect regional project, which aims to modernize the territory of the Vilnius railway station and create a modern multifunctional transport (public and private transport), a business and entertainment center.

The main goal of the project is to create new jobs and increase the added value created by the existing employees in the Vilnius region by modernizing the company’s production infrastructure. The project provides the construction of a modern repair and production base for locomotives and the purchase of modern equipment necessary to optimize the technological process and provide new services.

JSC “Vilnius Locomotive Repair Depot” provides comprehensive services for the repair, modernization of rolling stock, freight wagons, repair of components and assemblies.

The company is part of the LTG Lithuanian Railways group and offers modern, flexible, cost-effective solutions that meet market requirements.
