At the end of last week, the border guards of Lithuania did not let through 5 gondola cars with Russian military symbols, which were transiting to Belarus as part of freight trains. It is reported by Railway Supply with reference to Rail.insider.

Airborne Forces

As reported, the cars are assigned to the Kuibyshev railway of the aggressor country.

Trains traveled from the Kaliningrad region to Belarus through the Lithuanian border crossing Kybartai. In one of them there were three, and in the other – two cars with the symbols of the Airborne Forces and the inscription “No one but us.”

5 critical points for European intermodal transport

According to the border service, the wagons with ammonium sulfate were sent on October 17, 2022 and arrived at the destination station on October 27. On November 2, after unloading in the Kaliningrad region, empty cars went back. However, on November 4 and 5, at the Kybartai station (Lithuanian railway), they were put aside from traffic by the Lithuanian state border guard service. Now the wagons must be uncoupled and returned to the Kaliningrad region, only after that the trains will be able to pass through the territory of Lithuania to Belarus.
