Krukovsky Railcar Building Plant (KVSZ) received a net loss of UAH 164 million in the first six months of 2021.

KVSZ ended the half-year with a loss of UAH 164 million

For the same period last year, the company received UAH 50.8 million in profit, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

The company’s net income in January-June decreased 2.6 times – to UAH 641.2 million.

In the first half of the year, the plant received UAH 41.8 million in gross loss against UAH 135.3 million in profit for the same period in 2020.

At the same time, UAH 177.9 million of losses were recorded from operating activities, compared to UAH 43.5 million of profit.

The sales of freight cars in the first half of the year decreased to 327 units, or 2.9 times. For six months, KVSZ has reduced the production of freight cars by 61%.
