ӦBB increases the run frequency of the TransFER container service
The Austrian railway company Rail Cargo (part of the ӦBB group) has doubled the frequency of runs of the TransFER container service on the route Trieste – Vienna – Linz – Trieste since March 1. The trains will now operate two round-trip runs a week, thereby strengthening direct connections to one of the most important seaports in Europe, informs Railway Supply with reference to the Rail Cargo press release.

“Fixed timetables and convenient delivery times ensure reliable and efficient transport services on the route between the three terminals,” it said.
The TransFER train carries containers and trucks. Further delivery to Budapest and throughout the European TransNET network is envisaged.
